Title:
Recognizing incorrectly to correctly spelt words

Objective:
SPI 3003.1.8 Choose correctly or incorrectly spelled words.

Materials:
Smartboard
iClicker
Pen
Paper

Description:
Each student will have an iClicker, which connected to the Smarboard. In this activity, there will be two words on the screen, one will be the correct spelling, the other will be incorrect. Once two words appear, the students will have twenty seconds, which will be counting down on the Smartboard. Each student will press the button which they think is the correct answer. After the timer runs out, the answer is revealed and all of the students answers would be there, comparing the whole class. Then they would each write down how much they got write, this way they are integrating technology and still writing.

Scaffolds:
The students will have an instruction sheet showing them what to do. If they do not understand, then they can ask their peers. The sheet will include how to do the activity and how to use the iClicker. This will help students who do not understand fully, to grasp the activity better.
